Volunteer Recognition

Kudos to all those who help in so many ways...

First of all, the Voyageur Trail Association would like to recognize those who are serving on the current Coordinating Council and all those who volunteer to be contacts for the VTA in their respective towns. If you would like to volunteer to serve on our Coordinating Council, or in any other capacity, please contact us.

The Voyageur Trail Association wishes to thank all of our supporters for their generosity through the years.

The VTA awards the Steve Taylor Award yearly to worthy volunteers that have made a significant contribution over the past year or in some cases throughout their voluntary ‘career’ years. Steve Taylor was a long-time President of the Voyageur Trail Association who, in 1995, passed away of cancer in his thirties. At the time, the Steve Taylor Volunteer Award was created in his memory to be awarded to honour an individual or individuals who contributed in an outstanding way to the goals of the Association, as Steve always had. Past recipients include;

  • Gayle Phillips
  • Steve Dominy
  • Bob Sinclair
  • Don McGorman
  • Larry Gringorten
  • Andy Penikett
