The Voyageur Trail Association (VTA) vision is to work with volunteers and partner organizations to build a continuous wilderness-style hiking trail from Sudbury through Sault Ste. Marie to Thunder Bay, a distance of some 1,100 km paralleling the rugged Northern Ontario shores of Lake Huron and Lake Superior.

  We always need help clearing trails, keeping the guidebook up to date, writing stories about trail adventures, etc. Please contact us if you can devote some time on or off the trail.

The VTA is a registered non-profit, charitable organization which issues tax certificates for all contributions. If you would like to help with a donation please contact us or click the button below.

Please consider joining us for the Voyageur Trail Association's Annual General meeting in Marathon on October 17-19 (or any combination of the three days). [Marathon is a five-hour drive from Sault Ste. Marie - Pukaskwa National Park is very nearby There will be a meeting with members present from throughout the organization, guest speakers on trail-building going on between Marathon and Thunder Bay, and LOTS of hiking with friends!

Awards - Photo contest winners, recipients of the 40km challenge, Steve Taylor Award

Draw for free memberships

Presentation of Northshore Trail Development – Kirsten Spence

Round table discussion on Lake Superior Trails (who is doing what etc.)
